Yeah I get that too. The blank ground area is because when the new , better terrain textures were added , the equivalant winter textures weren't created ... I'm in the process of adding the missing winter textures .... The dead (leafless) trees are caused by scaling the tree texture down to 64 pixels in height , so the small, bare branches disappear , I'll have to redo those ones ... If you spot anything else let me know .
