Depending on the aircraft, a work-around might be to start with zero 
fuel.  This should reduce the weight of the aircraft, making it 
less likely to break the U/C when it drops on to the runway.  You 
can then fuel the aircraft up from the menu.

Obviously, a proper fix would be better.
