I didn't think so either, although perhaps it is related. As we've heard, using the aircraft nose vrp can result in the aircraft not starting on the runway but before it, and if there's no apron, the aircraft will end up positioned over the surrounding scenery terrain instead of the airport surfaces. At some airports I've noticed gaps between the polys making up the airport surfaces and the surrounding terrain. They don't seem to be visible from above though, so it looks like the gaps are due to differences in elevation. If this is so, we could have the situation where an aircraft is positioned according to the expected ground elevation taken from the coords of the vrp, which will be the runway start, while the elevation of the ground actually beneath the undercarriage is different.
