I thought that one of the C172s had been extensively overhauled and improved in the past ... ? I've got a flight manual here. Maybe I can find time to take another look. We did have a C172 pilot a few years ago try it out and he thought it seemed pretty good. It can be tricky to make a comparison on "feel", but there are some performance numbers that can be looked at.
