That said, the <note/> section is just a reminder to anyone who wants to make a profit by selling a 'Boeing 747' simulator or something similar. There are no consequences for the end user or for the FlightGear community by this statement. It would be interesting to know what Boeing thinks when their brand name is listed in a long list of supported Aircraft from several manufacturers instead.
