"Global Weather" just opens a PUI dialog, so I am a bit puzzled why this crashes your system. Please make sure you run on latest SimGear and FlightGear sources. If the error persists, move the files - compat_layer.nas - weather_dynamics.nas - weather_tile_management.nas - weather_tiles.nas (all in $FGDATA/Nasal) temporarily to another location and see if the error still persists. At least, the messages you mentioned should be gone now.
