They're part of "fgdata"  ;-)
Indeed, the release procedure has been planned as written. Exceptions
may be agreed upon on an individual basis, but aside from this, we'd
ask you to refrain from applying major changes.

No, not generally. Obvious fixes are ok, major overhauls are not, in
case of doubt I'd propose that the changes in question should be
reviewed (which is a darn good idea anyway ....  ;-)
