the webpage for FlightGear.org -

No such community. The mailing lists aren't about fixed wing only, but
about all aspects of fgfs. This includes rotary wing. Let us know your
perception of helicopter specific scenery and controls requirements! :-)
regarding the idea of a real "community" I'm not sure whether there are
enough (helicopter flight sim) users for anything like that to be
realized.
But collecting some information is certainly not a bad idea, it could
be maintained on an ocassional basis.
