I would have almost forgotten my own thread...;-)

No such community. The mailing lists aren't about fixed wing only, butI already know that the lists not only for fixed wing disscussion...;-) but I'll take the chance to explain :-)
about all aspects of fgfs. This includes rotary wing. Let us know your
perception of helicopter specific scenery and controls requirements! :-)
My own experience in controlling a sim heli with a conventional joysticks are rather poor. Thus I would exchange my experiences in hardware modifikation with others. Since this is a quite heli specific issue, I found it obvious to separate it from the fixed wing stuff. Or what would a "fixie" say about dismounting all centering springs out of his stick...;-)
Also is the current scenery for low- to mid-range-operating helicopters rather boring while long-range aircraft (also high altitude operating ones) simmers could be as merry as a lark due to this excellent scenery...I just saw some add-on scenery for the msfs2004 especially for heli simmers...that should we have, too! (you can't believe...little german cities with single textured houses, tiny fountains etc...lovely)
Further heli simmers want to be heroes ;-), therefore some rescue action would be nice...this point will need some core modifications to fgfs I think, moreover: could anybody implement the throttle correlator??? It is quite funny that you give pitch and the engine is running full throttle all the time...but that actually belongs into the devel-list.
And: at least a half billion new heli models ;-) BTW, may you are so nice, and give me some hints to model helis in blender, I get fairly slow familiar with it's GUI...I want to model all other eurocopter types, the EC130 shall be the first. I already got the informations from the Eurocopter site, and the master image is already in blender, but I know approximately nothing about the modeling capabilities of blender, how to cross-sectioning and so on...
Good night and good flight, Ron
