I'd like to think that my Fedora Core 2 distribution
doesn't behave this way. Using top and ps commands,
can't see any obvious culprits. I just disabled
/net/nfs automounts (/etc/init.d/autofs stop), which
I'd hoped were the problem. Sputter still there.
I'm not quite at sys admin level with linux, so I
could probably ask the tech support (here at work) if
any 20-sec processes may be the problem. Not sure
they'll appreciate helping me to debug flight
simulator woes.
Since I'm running linux, surely there's an answer...
Hate to think I'd be better off with Windoze.
