I am having some difficulties with the installation of flightgear (and supporting libraries) on windows. I am trying to use the installation guide on the flightgear website but it seems a little jumbled.

Under the section 'Preparing the development environment under windows' there is no mention of windows but lots of talk of Linux and many parts which are not clear to me e.g.

"... make sure you have all necessary OpenGL libraries..." which ones?

"Also you are expected to have a bunch of tools installed that are usually required to compile the Linux kernel"

"Please compare the release of the Plib library with the one that ships with your Linux distribution"

Does anyone have a step by step guide dedicated to Windows (2000/XP) including which standards of libraries (plib, metakit, simgear etc) are compatible?

Any help greatly appreciated.

If I manage to get it working I'll post a detailed step by step guide of how I did it!

Mick.
