Went back for a third attempt at the executable install. This time the
install appeared to work. I selected the first Cessna 172 in the aircraft
list. Part of the dashboard appeared but upside down!
Yep the powers that be seem to think thats exceptable.Beleave it
or not thats how it is supposed to be.
Quit and restarted flightgear, this time selecting the second Cessna 172 in
the list. Seemed successful. I could hear the engine, see out the window
and the view controls seemed to work but the engine controls (9 and 3 on
numeric pad with num lock on) did nothing hence I could not take off.
Your there you just don,t know it.To get the throttles to work you need
to use page up and page down
Rebooted the machine and tried again. Got the original ssgInit error and
the program shutdown.
Can't help you with that one as I have it installed on 98 and it works fine.
Gave up and wrote this email!!
My ultimate aim is to build flightgear from source so that I can attempt
some development.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated!
When you get it going again try the 737.
Oh and when you finally do get moving the aircraft will slew one way or
another this is normal.Need rudder to correct
Just want to save you an extra post.:-)
Cheers
