Thank you for your help Fred
What you are suggesting makes perfect sense to me and I really
appreciate your help...unfortunately the user interface in Blender ( for
editing the ac file) makes as much sense to me as hand denoting an
atomic bomb..... after six months of struggling with the interface, I'm
still no further ahead. As for "selecting and modifying" objects
attributes ...well lets just say I can't even find them to select!!! As
it seems the only "free" AC3 editor available I maybe have to admit that
3d modelling is not for me.
Not giving up, but very disheartened.... will sleep on it and
undoubtedly have a new plan tomorrow
Thanks again for your help
Hi Dene,
should I help you a little with Blender? I went on learning how it
works (do you remember the time you were asking for suggestions?) and
finally I am a little confident with the tool. Still it's not my
preferred one, but it's a must if you want ot make something for FGFS.
First suggestion: try splitting the main window in two, then use the
first one for the modelling and the second one for the outliner.
The Outliner lets you browse the hierarchy of the scene; you see nodes
that represent objects and other stuff.
Inside the outliner window you see 3d meshe objects listed with their
names, you can select and object by its name in the outliner and see it
highlighted in the 3d modelling window.
Yo can change an object's name by selecting it and opening the "Object >
Transform Property" window.
cheers,
Roberto
