I found that if I used the same name in the branch sections then nothing
happened. This was by trial and error so I may have been doing something
else wrong :-)
If you think they are un-necessary then I will experiment with omitting
them.

What are these for? They don't make much sense to me. I think you
can safely let those away, without seeing any difference.
