And for those who don't know, Wiimote is the remote game controller
for the Nintendo Wii game console. You play by actually holding and

I was so impressed with the wiimote demo that I showed it to my wife (who
normally glazes over about 5 seconds before any of my FlightGear demos
start.) Same thing here, but I figure you can't just stop trying. I
casually mentioned this looked like it might be a fun toy, and didn't think
any more of it.
On Christmas Eve when we were opening gifts, the first thing I got was a
little rubber "glove" protector for the wiimote. Everyone was out of stock
for all things wii so I figured, haha, it was a joke, she actually looked,
but that was the best she could find, up to me to fill it in later on my
own.
So to my great surprise, the next thing is an actual wiimote which she
managed to find someplace. Woohoo! Thankfully she didn't bother with the
whole wii system which I wouldn't have time for anyway, but the wiimote was
exactly what I wanted.
Today with Pigeon's help, I managed to get my wiimote working with
FlightGear and had some fun jetting around the skies. I captured one video
and posted it here for your enjoyment:
