Hello
I am using Flightgear in order to visualize UAV simulation. And I was
expecting if somebody has already work on a "underwater" version of
flightgear (for UUV simulation)?
Moreover is it possible to modify flightgear in order to dive under
altitude "0" and not stop object at this altitude?
Thank you very much for your answers!
It would not be hard to disable the ground height check or hardwire it to
something below sea level. What might be more interesting would be to
develop a scenery database using underwater terrain data in conjunction with
the above ground terrain, and then put something similar to a cloud layer
(but with a water texture) at sea level. We could even raise and lower the
sea to simulate tides (?) It seems like it could be a really interesting
extension to FlightGear if someone wanted to work on it.
