But if you *really* want to start from scratch because you lost the
overwiew :-/  then delete all your CVS source folders and the FlightGear
data folder and - if you have this within your FlightGear folder - the
include and lib folder.
But be warned - on one side a newbee is pretty sure after deleting all
this that nothing disturbing is left *but* on the other side you have to
download also all FG data from CVS. You should have a fast internet
connection. Updating FG data is *not* important for FG CVS build but for
successfully running FG after compiling.
To be honest, some time ago when I learned how to manage the FlightGear
CVS build *this* was the only solution for me to get all sorted out.
Unbelievable for a prof, but true :-)

If you are using a Linux O/S then have a look at my link (previous mail)
and the other FG wiki postings (there should also be some help for Win
OS  users).
