running fedora core 6 on a few machines that i want to remove the standard
0.9.10 install
and my other comp that has Ubuntu Edgy i need to remove both CVS and 0.9.10,
I tried deleting the 0.9.10 install and installing the CVS version, but tit
didn't work, It would just seg. fault at startup. So I tried to go back to
the 0.9.10 version to see if it would still work, and no it wouldn't.
So there was obvioulsly somthing I missed when deleting the original FG
install.
Thanks four the help. i'll do some more poking around to see what i come up
with.

But if you *really* want to start from scratch because you lost the
overwiew :-/ then delete all your CVS source folders and the FlightGear
data folder and - if you have this within your FlightGear folder - the
include and lib folder.
But be warned - on one side a newbee is pretty sure after deleting all
this that nothing disturbing is left *but* on the other side you have to
download also all FG data from CVS. You should have a fast internet
connection. Updating FG data is *not* important for FG CVS build but for
successfully running FG after compiling.
To be honest, some time ago when I learned how to manage the FlightGear
CVS build *this* was the only solution for me to get all sorted out.
Unbelievable for a prof, but true :-)
If you are using a Linux O/S then have a look at my link (previous mail)
and the other FG wiki postings (there should also be some help for Win
OS users).
