As for shapes, ensure that fgsd see they files.
By default, if you type all pathes right, in fgsd-tools-options-LandcoverDB
generates table with filename, area type for this
file, chekbox use or not it in scenery, and width for linear type area -
roads, rivers etc.

At my home comp table was created properly, but here at work I was need to
edit some files.

In your FGSD dir there is file .fgsdrc
Exam it, and you find lines like that:

<file n="1">
<name type="string">cities_urban</name>
<type type="string">Urban</type>
<used type="bool">true</used>
<width type="double">0</width>
</file>

So you should edit this file, typing actual filenames, or rename
files that will match this  lines.

And dont forget to check checkboxes!
