Keith, Welcome to flightgear! For moving maps you have a couple of options. Firstly there is a program called atlas, which you can compile yourself but is also in the repos of at least one linux distro (ubuntu). Alternatively, point your browser to http://mpmap02.flightgear.org to see other players participating in multiplayer mode. This only requires about three more command line options to be set and no software installation. For details check http://www.flightgear.org/Docs/getstart/getstartch5.html#x10-600005.3 Multiplayer mode also gives you the advantage of seeing the other "multiplayers" as you fly! Explore mpmap. Be sure to check out the "nav" tab at the bottom which will reveal a host of goodies - nav aids, weather, etc. Hope this helps, Drew ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
