Subject: Re: [Flightgear-users] Moving maps?

Hi Keith,

I strongly encourage you not to give up. What version of FlightGear
 are
you using? Knowing this will help us advise you which versions of
 Atlas
and fgrun to seek and install. fgrun is a FlightGear wizard (launch
control) program. If you are not running either FlightGear version 1.0

or the cvs version, I would recommend that you get FlightGear-1.0
installed as there are well supported versions of Atlas and fgrun
compatible with it. I would also recommend that you focus first on
getting FlightGear-1.0 and fgrun-1.0.0 installed and put off worrying
about moving maps until then. fgrun gives a friendly gui with
 intuitive
options that cover most of the command line options. fgrun also makes
the interface with Atlas a single check box and getting mlutiplayer
working should be much easier from fgrun.

As you have already seen, there are many people supporting FlightGear
that are willing to help you get things installed and running. The
amount of documentation available for FlightGear can be overwhelming at

first. We can point you to specific documntation for specific issues
 if
we know exactly where you are stuck. Keep trying and keep letting us
know what help you need to succeed.

Regards,
Dave Perry
