I'm trying to handle them any way which might work. Thats
no way so far, but I'll keep trying! :-)

OK, so than kinda rules out terragear for creating the lines.

My line was 60cm, but from what you describe that might get
collapsed down anyway.

Yes, it'll be interesting to see how that goes. In the interim
I was going to try an experiment to see if I could import the
airport terrain into Blender, then cut the lines from that, and
then save as a simple ac3d object for later positioning in the
sim. Might be quite tricky, but I'll give anything a go in the
interests of scientific discovery... :-)
