I'll second that. Most professional communities use mailing lists/newsgroups. The only part of the fltk online "forums" I think is lacking is that you can't search the body of the messages. Only the Subject is searched. (Unless I don't know how to seach the body) I however prefer using gmail as my mail client. It has excellent search capabilities and label/filter options.
