Most of the active work is on 1.3.x, as there are a lot of devs who have large code commitments to the 1.x API who have stepped up to keep things moving forwards. It doesn't seem that the same has happened for fltk-2 so I'm not sure anyone is working on it.
As far as I can see, most of the recent checkins to the fltk-2 tree have been to add new features, nobody seems to be working on the bugs. There's been a lot of stuff "fixed" for 1.1 and 1.3 since the fltk-2 tree forked, and I don't know how many of those fixes found there way into (or were even relevant to) fltk-2. The thing that turned me off fltk-2 was that I was following the head, and there were several incidents of wholesale API changes and massive but incomplete commits and so forth. Very nasty code-breaking followed, and I switched back to a hacked 1.1, that in the end kind of became 1.3. I have had fewer problems since. I imagine that if you took a snapshot of fltk-2 that works and stuck with it, all would probably be well. It is essentially OK. > 3.
