Good idea.
I'm not contributing too much at the moment, and it all sounds great,
but as Albrecht said, can we get a stable 1.3 out first? Otherwise it
just looks like we don't want to fix the last 10% and want to rewrite
it all from scratch again because that's more interesting.
Good point. Fixing though is what I did exclusively the last three
years. I have not added a feature in I don't know how long. And even
this will not add features for quite a while.
For 1.3, I have nine bugs that are purely FLTK 1.3, but I have 32 bugs
that are either fixed in 2.0 (so we only need to copy the code) or
need to be fixed in 1.3 *and* 2.0. I'd prefer to do it only once in
3.0 ;-)
But anyway, I don't even know it this all works. I will try to do a
rough layout that gets a few demo apps working. We will see after a
short while if this all made sense... .
