hmm thanks for the info anand. that's definitely interesting that your
fluid is creating emtpy apps...

i've double checked the files on the server, and they definitely have
contents and plists.

the bad news is that until i am able to reproduce this myself on a
machine that i can use for debugging, i doubt i'll be able to figure
this out. :-[

it only seems to be affecting a small number of users.... if you can
provide any more info about what might make your system unique...
