This show was an unfortunate shambles and misrepresented many good artists  - a great pity.  it appears to have been a vehicle to allow the curators kiss the arse of Shozo Shimamoto (who was the only one of any note to attend) and to use the money of many who couldn't afford it to further their feeble careers.  Discussions with one of the curators led me to believe that it definitely wasn't the work that counted ....
a shambles in every sense - it was a good friend of mine who was in charge of the construction of the 'space' - a expert in specialist scaffolding he noted that the design, produced by the curators and an architect was in fact physically impossible to construct - and that was just the star.

yep! i'm angry - can you tell?  i'm also sorry for all those who participated and weren't given the right platform thay deserved

letter to dimauro below
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
especially for the attention of Sig. DiMauro - following communication sent to Sig Renato Meneghetti:

The 'Alan Bowman's 'frozenrefrigeratedboiledfriedbakedandroasted events 2003' were NOT intended for inclusion in neither the Brain Academy Apartment show in Venice nor the r+d show in Sunderland, rather they were sub-events to celebrate Mr Bowman's inclusion in said shows.  They were included, and represented poorly in the opinion of the Freeformfreakout Organisation', in the Brain Academy Apartment and Mr Bowman and the Freeformfreakout Organisation request the removal of ALL pieces bearing Mr Bowman's name and the FFFO logos.

Also Mr Bowman has noted that on his page in the official B.A.A. catalogue, the images include a copy of Sig Meneghetti's 'Nulla Vita Ex Hoc Pane' posters, which is NOT a piece by Bowman or the FFFO, it has no relevance or relation to the work of Mr Bowman or to that of the Freeformfreakout Organisation.

The 'Alan Bowman's 'frozenrefrigeratedboiledfriedbakedandroasted events 2003' was a research project, examples of which were reproduced large scale, and against Mr Bowman's advice.  It makes no sense to show a reproduction of a fried piece of paper!

RE the follwing text from page 110 of the BAA catalogue

"He was born in Gateshead in 1976. He worked also as a golf ball-picker and in that period he discovered the fascination for the absurdity.  After his artistic studies, he comes in Italy and collaborates with Emily Harvey in Venice and New York"

We would like to point out that Mr Bowman provided an original text in English for inclusion in the catalogue/publicity/whatever.

Mr Bowman was in fact born in 1966 and would like to point out that the apparently pointless exercise of translating the original English  text  into Italian and then back (badly) into English and the inclusion af the wrong images has resulted in an almost senseless and extremely unprofessional page.

Mr Bowman and the Freefromfreakout Organisation politely request a suitable explaination of ; the thinking behind the inclusion of such an unsuitable project in such a form; the reason why a piece very obviously not by My Bowman was included on his page in the catalogue.

Mr Bowman and the FFFO request the withdrawal of all pieces bearin Mr Bowman's name and the name and logos of the Freeformfreakout Organisation from the Brain Academy Apartment exhibition, to be accompanied by a suitable apology for misrepresentation and misuse (along with Sig Meneghetti) of Bowman/FFFO artworks

We look forward to a prompt reply
