I was too harsh here and I apologise.  I had the great pleasure to meet Fluxlister Luc Fierens, unfortunately I was unable to stay for his performance - i left him battling with a temperamental walkman in a garden in venice

there were also antonio sassu and his cronies from gruppo sinestetico, who are doing some interesting stuff, and roberto scala who i think might just be crazy, very nice though.

an interesting point:  (well fairly interesting anyway)

the curators/organisers came to the 'life never stops' opening at emily harvey's, where they didn't like the people!  They thought they were a lot of snobs - they have a distorted view of their own importance one thinks..
Present were Emily and Davidson - most definitely not snobs, Ben Vautier, Ben Patterson, Alain Arias Misson, Jon Hendricks, Yoko Ono, Takako Saito, Christian Xatrec, Martyn Ware, and a whole host of friends, children and locals - including the builders, electricians and plumbers who have worked on Archivio Emily Harvey over the past couple of years and who always come to the shows.  The openings in Venice have all been like this, great, relaxed celebrations - yes.  Full of snobs - No!
