Hello David Murray,
Not sure if you have XY for points/ other geometry along with the related attributes.
But guessing that the XY is for just POINTS along with related attributes in a CSV/ Comma Separated TEXT file.
Here is a Simple Solution:
You will need to use the CSV reader and if the text file contains column headings in the first line, you can specify this in your reader parameters in FME Workbench.
Then introduce a 2DPOINTADDER or may be a 2DPOINTREPLACER and then write the output along with other attributes into a Shape file/Coverage.
Try this out and if you still need assistance let me know!
Happy FME-ing :-)
Cheers
SRG

Simple Question:
How do you take a comma separated (attributes separated by commas) text *.txt file that has x/y coordinates and generate a coverage or shape file in FME
Thanks for any help
