No, you right-click in the transformer gallery and choose the 'New
Folder' option. Then you can drag and drop transformers into the new
folder - from either existing folders or even from the canvas.

You can then right-click the new folder and choose to 'Export' it -
that will create a .fmxlist file which you can pass to other folk (eg
create a custom folder of transformers for a particular project). It's
just the folder definition in the file - not the transformers themselves.

It has an example of an fmxlist file. Put it in the ...My
Documents\FME\TransformerCategories folder and it will show up as a
new folder (containing all the group-based transformers).
