How about selecting Title Case in Text Format box for that field in Layout
mode? That will make first character of every word in that field Upper Case.

Subject: Regarding Capitalization of the 1st character of the Text field

Hi,

    I am using FMP-Pro 7.

I have VB, Oracle and Progress background in programming that was 7 years

ago. This is my first project on FMPro. I am accepting a Name (Text field)
on the form and I would like it to be stored in the database with first
character in uppercase. I am aware of the Text functions to extract the
first character and then use UPPER to convert it to Upper case, and then
concatenate with the rest of the characters in the name field. How am I
going to trigger this script as there is no way of triggering a script after

exiting a field? I don't want to use Buttons to run a script.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Charu
