I will reiterate, though, that all the major, commercial IDEs have code folding.

obviated with proper separation of content and structure, or by spreading
objects out across multiple pages) simply don't hold water. If you don't like or
use code folding, fine. That's your prerogative. But obviously many professional
developers do, or it wouldn't be incorporated into every professional grade
IDE.

Concluding that professional developers consider any IDE/editor feature
important is more of a guess than a fact. You see an important feature, I see a
crutch.
