There's a tool for the C programming language called LINT. It checks the
code for dangerous situations like "unused variables", "compares always
true" and such things. It does not look for errors which the compilers also
finds. So there are two classes of errors: Compiler errors (The compiler
cant compile the code) and LINT errors.
A similar tool would be usefull for Protel. This tool could check the
schematic for "errors" like "overlapping wires", "unplaced parts", and such
things. If Protel asks, we together would find many such dangerous
situations ;-)
