Actually you can use the 'toggle selection' command and left click on a
normal polygon fill and it highlight. Then you can 'crtl delete' it...
that's an alternative way to delete polygon fills. My problem is with a fill
that can't be selected .. at all. using any of the methods that normally
work on elements in the design file. All of the elements are in positive
space... and I e-mailed tech support and sent them a copy of the file to
look at.

I was confused about what you meant by "ghost" polygons. I have moved
polygons before and had them disappear from view when they no longer connect
to the rest of the net. A polygon that has disappeared in this manner can't
be viewed unless you doubleclick on them and regenerate them, and then you
can only see it briefly as it redraws and disappears again. This is what I
thought you meant by a ghost. What you're describing sounds like a bug of
some sort.
Still, the only way I know of deleting a polygon is to use Edit/Delete. It
would be nice if you could double click on a polygon and get a dialog box
that included a Select box to check. Add this to my wish list!
