I have been wondering if anybody reads the mails in this group (mailing list). Please participate in this survey to help others know about the audience of this mailing list.
Currently, there are a couple of active discussion threads in this FOSS-Nepal mailing list. They sound important, interesting and far-fetching. Most importantly, they require opinions from different people, as many as possible. Sadly, like in all other mails, only a bunch of usual posters have been posting replies to those threads. It looks, the threads will terminate without any specific conclusion. Please answer the following questions. If the answers aren't in the options, please feel free to provide your own answers. You may skip questions you don't want to reply. You may add your own questions and reply them if you feel it necessary. Please circulate this mail to people who don't read mails in this mailing list by sending personal emails. 1. Do you read the mails of this mailing list? a. Yes, I read every single mail b. Yes, I read only those whose subjects sound interesting to me. c. Yes, I read some mails where many people have participated or there's an interesting discussion. d. I don't read at all (i read this one accidentally) e. I don't read those threads where I haven't posted. f. My subscription type is "no email" 2. If your answer to Q. 1 was a-c, Do you reply or start new threads in this mailing list? a. Yes, pretty often b. Yes, whenever there's an interesting discussion. c. Yes, when I think it's absolutely necessary for me to reply or start a new thread. d. No, I just read the mails. 3. If your answer to Q. 1 was d-f, What are the reasons that you don't read the mails? a. I am not interested and I don't know how to unsubscribe from this list. b. I don't have a regular internet connection c. There are too many mails in this list and reading them is very unproductive and impractical d. I didn't find the mailing list as interesting as I expected it to be. e. The mails are sub-standard and the mailing list looks like a mess. 4. If your answer to Q 2. was d, What keeps you from posting to the mailing list? a. I posted on a few occasions, but nobody replied b.
