b. Yes, I read only those whose subjects sound interesting to me.
c. Yes, when I think it's absolutely necessary for me to reply or
start a new thread.
How I get involved in the mailing list :
A. For technical issues
1.when I find things I have some knowledge about I reply
2.I reply If I have already applied the discussed topics myself in some
way or the other
3.In case of new topics that I have no idea about,I google and try to
understand the problem for solutions
B. For other...e.g. social issues
If the discussions are about meetings to be held in Kathmandu, then me
not being there,I find myself unable to get engaged.
So A and B happen with me.
Suggestion:
1.If I go as per my instincts, I prefer reading short messages
2.Perhaps a deadlock situation exists sometimes(not always).The non-newbies
wait for questions from the newbies and the newbies wait for new topics to
be discussed.Would be good if we could regulate this.
3.I ,as a newbie will have questions if I have to do some new things in the
linux system. If this mailing list encourages me to do so,then I could raise
my queries.
