Hi Ravi and Ranendra and also other friends from ASCOL and other colleges,
Thank you for showing immense interest in 'LTSP'. Infact, the
concept of e-library has itself been surviving because of so much of
interest among the students and the enthusiasm for serving the community.
I am sure everyone in FOSS circle appreciates the energy and the
enthusiasm. The LTSP training itself had some basic criterias regarding
knowledge of Linux. I hope that was well cleared by Shankar Dai by quoting
the actual announcement in the mailing list.
Let me again remind you that it is not just ASCOL from where a few
people couldn't be selected and for obvious reason that we had a limited
seats. And more than those who couldn't be selected, it was difficult for
selectors to reject the applications. But still, 2nd training should be
considered quite positive since it already excluded Pulchowk campus and KU.
And let me bring it to your fact that when a training for IOEians
was conducted last week, there were as many application rejections then as
it is now. But Barshaa must have already clarified that there is still
second change with LTSP. More LTSP Training of Trainers would be conducted
soon.
I know there are many people who want to learn Linux and all, so
as told by Hempal Dai, the Training and Research centre is for that purpose
itself.

Cheers,
Jitendra Harlalka.
