boot from live cd again, backup if any data is there. and start gparted, its
in:

System--> administration---> partitioneditor/gparted.

and parition it properly again. Partion it to NTFS if you are planning to
use that partition in wimpdopes as well as linux.

or from command line:
sudo mkfs.ntfs /dev/sda3

I recommend booting via live USB instead of live CD.
