daiharu, thanks for the responses! I dont want the files now, i just want my hard drive back. i tried installing windows from a DVD but it does nothing(just a blinking cursor on the screen). I cannot explore the DVD from inside linux, it says the drive is empty, but clearly the content is there. Isn't there anyway to format my whole drive without even starting up the OS? i want to install windows and install ubuntu inside windows.
