Subject: [fossil-dev] Troubles rendering some unicode characters?
At http://www.fossil-scm.org/fossil/brlist there are characters on the
column labels that indicate sorting. The characters used are u+2b06,
u+2b07, and u+21f3. These render perfectly for me on Linux, Max,
Win7, and Win8, using FF, Chrome, IE, Safari, and Opera. And yet some
people are reporting they are getting crazy non-arrow characters in
those places.

Can anybody reproduce the reported problem? Suggested fixes?

Google Chrome 40.0.2214.45 beta-m
Windows 7 home premium

I do see the NON arrow keys but at home on my Linux machine, I see the arrows

When looking at the code in developer mode in chome, I see a small box with around a question mark but when pasting that SAME line in Thunderbird, it displays correctly:
<span class="sortarrow">⬆</span>

I do have a number of extension in Google Chrome so I'll try launching as a guest to see if there's a difference.

On the same computer with Mozilla FireFox version 34, the arrows are exactly how I expect.
