It worked fine when I was playing with it, but as a UI issue, I notice
that the 'markup editor' button discards any changes type into the text
box. Which, of course, was the first thing I tried as I was wanting to
see what the editor rendered my text as.

I'd suggest that if it's not possible to seamless switch between the
WYSIWYG view and the markup view without saving the text first, it's
probably preferable to remove the button completely and replace the
'Edit' button in the wiki itself with 'Edit WYSIWYG' and 'Edit HTML'
instead.
