I just tried the Wysiwig editor on the fossil sandbox page.
Current version: Fossil version [1f4af61f41] 2012-08-14 17:42:49
My OS: Windows XP SP3 with all windows updates
My test with Firefox 14.0.1:
1) "Blockquote" seems to accept to be added multiple times (unlike other
options)
2) "Add indentation" does nothing
3) "Delete indentation" does nothing
4) "Hyperlink" doesn't work without first selecting some text
4b) Why not change the box to enter it to: "URL" (textbox), "Text" (textbox"
and "Target" (drop-down list with possible options)
5) Changing from "Raw HTML" to "WYSIWIG" mode seems to make me lose my changes
if I enter some text
My test with IE8 (fully patched as of today):
1) Every option (except changing "Edit mode", "Markup Editor", "Apply these
changes" and "Cancel") seems to give an error which says "Invalid argument"
line 187, character 5.
Questions:
1) I don't see the reason for the "Edit mode" drop-down list at the top. I
think it should be removed. (aren't they the same at the "Wysiwig editor" and
"Markup editor" at the bottom?)
2) the "Raw HTML" option should have the "Preview your changes" option too if
the "Edit mode" options are kept.
3) I would add the validation ("Switching to xxx will erase your xxx edits.
Continue?" between switches to the "Edit mode" options instead if they are kept.
I really like this feature.
