I think that works. See, for example, the wiki edit at https://www.fossil-scm.org/fossil/artifact/527bc296a0ef0a29 - the P card points back to https://www.fossil-scm.org/fossil/artifact/0344248b9 which in turn points to https://www.fossil-scm.org/fossil/artifact/bd34092a2f and so forth. But you are correct that Fossil does not currently do anything with this history, other than record it. -- D.
