Thank you. Yes, I think the discussion is nearly done.

If anyone was mining this thread for ways to improve fossil, I think
they'd see 2 things:

1) Fossil's ticket handling is not best-in-class. What are the key
features that would make it at least competitive? What features does
it have that are already better than most? (I've never used tickets,
although the integrated ticket system was one of my reasons for moving
from Hg to Fossil.)
No one system has all these, but looking at multiple ticket trackers, the obvious things to me are:

1) email notifications, the most important for me
2) assigning tickets to developers
3) setting a milestone (only makes sense if you have a project management features fossil does not have anyway) 4) link user names to user pages with other activity (only useful of you have some social networking features)
5) edit the original report if things change
6) sub-tasks/child tickets/todo list for ticket
7) better UI - I am sure this can be fixed with relatively simple customisation, and its mostly nice to have features like having the comment form under the comments.

There are a host of other more specialist things, like Launchpad's "link to CVE.", but I have doubts about how useful *any* of the above are given Fossil's primary goal of supporting SQLite development, so I am not going to start listing less used
features.

2) The wiki is not best-in-class. What are the key features it needs?
(Merging of changes is certainly one that I see. If multiple people
are working on the train to/from work, you don't want "last committer
wins" in your wiki. This is the point of DVCSs.)
That is the most important. I would also like edit comments and a better UI (e.g. a toolbar, preview on the edit page, add attachments on the edit page).

The Wiki is not too bad compared to the alternatives (although I still think they are better), but its also probably worth looking at Wiki systems like Media Wiki or Moin Moin for ideas.
