I don't want to give you all a lecture, but the compounds used for mosquito 
control are just as safe as the biologicals, and they are just as 
effective, and a lot less expensive. The pyrethrins are actually based upon 
naturally occurring materials. From a public health point of view, control 
of the mosquito population is second only to chlorination of the water 
supply. I suppose there are people opposed to that as well. Ignorance is

I have to jump in just a bit prematurely here.

Tonight at the BoS meeting, Linda Segal presented information stating that
the mosquito spray that was being used is not the relatively safe BTi that
we were all told would be used. Nicola Cataldo is going to follow up and
confirm just what the spray is that is being used. I believe that Linda
was saying that resmethrin and pyrethrin derivatives are being used
instead.  Nicola equated this to using a cannon to shooting a sparrow.
