Hi Melanie, One company I worked for solved this by making the template page size 210mm x 11in. In other words, we used the A4 width and the US Letter height. This made the page "fit" either paper size. The only issue was larger top/bottom margins with A4 paper and slightly larger left/right margins on Letter paper.
On the other hand, some languages run longer than English, so you may appreciate a longer A4 page. This would be one reason to have two separate templates. Rick Quatro Carmen Publishing 585-659-8267 www.frameexpert.com Hi all, My group is in the process of figuring out what is involved in translating our docs into other languages. We have a translation vendor and are well on our way to starting our first prototypes. Our first issue is that we want to have some of the versions on A4 PDF/paper size, but we have no idea what is involved. Our FM templates are set up for 8.5x11. We are wondering if we need to make a duplicate set of FM templates--and we *really* don't want to do that. Anyone done this before? Apologies if this has been answered previously. I looked through the archive, but didn't find anything. Thanks much for any advice! -- Melanie Raney Senior Information Developer Earth Decision Sciences phone | 713 787 0746 x113 email | raney at earthdecision.com _______________________________________________
