You may want to consider PDF for a visual representation of the files and
MIF (Maker Interchange Format) for a text-based representation of the
content. MIF is would mainly be useful for recovering the content in
FrameMaker in the future if you needed to. Convert the files to MIF, archive
them, and uninstall FrameMaker.
