Hello all, After asking about jazz and music an experimental film, and
feeling grateful for all the answers, I was wondering about the connections
between early electronic music and avant-garde film. Recently I watched OFFON
(1967-72) by Scott Bartlett with a “sound composition” by Manny Meyer. Again,
there should be plenty of avant-garde films where the soundtrack is
instrumental electronic music or experimental abstract sound created with
magnetic tape recorders, synthesizers, electronic tools, etc. Maybe one
question would be to define what is considered to be early electronic music but
anyway, lets try it. Does anyone remember some other avant-garde films with
early electronic music from the 50's, 60's, 70's even 80's? Right now
