Just curious - which proxies can't deal with \r\n? I had to write a web
proxy once and didn't have trouble with any of the web servers (Apache, IIS,
JWS) or the one proxy (Squid) that I tested against as long as I stuck to
the RFC when generating HTTP. Of course, I had to be quite lenient when
reading HTTP from servers and browsers.
