For me it was usually hang / illegal instruction for small EMM= values and spontaneous reboot (page fault??) for bigger values. Whatever. Cool that you found and fixed it. > There was also a bug in the reallocate EMS pages function only > when shrinking pages from the original EMS handle allocation. At least the reallocation part improves compatibility in general (while the others fix specific cases and could be worked around by avoiding bug-triggering configurations usually...), really a recommended update for everybody. And of course EMM=... becomes much more useful now that it works for all values. > LOG minimally works here, as originally designed and documented. Wow, you must have been bored. Just removing LOG would have been enough ;-). > If you continue to have a problem with AUGOS, you will need to e-mail or > ftp a full copy of the application here... You can get it here: > http://www.augos.com/go/augos.html > http://www.augos.com/go/augoseng.html Note the warning about spaceships. But I do not think that there will be further EMM386-specific problems with it. Some ramdisk troubles maybe, though. We will see... Eric PS: You could mention HIMEM /TEST in the HIMEM /? screen. Can be useful as a test-and-benchmark tool to compare different HIMEMs - if you know that it exists. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
